Become a Member

Registering with the P.E.I. Institute of Agrologists ensures that you are legally licensed to practice Agrology in the Province of Prince Edward Island.

As a registered Agrologist, your clients are assured they are dealing with a professional who is qualified and competent to provide the latest knowledge and advice on agriculture and related areas. Potential clients and employers can be confident that they are retaining a professional who is governed by a Code of Ethics and is required to maintain their proficiency with on-going professional development.

Becoming a member of the PEIIA will give you the opportunity to improve the agricultural industry as a whole, by contributing to decision making and policy formulation through discussion with key people in the industry.

Institute sponsored technical sessions and workshops will provide you with opportunities to network with other professionals and disciplines, and increase your knowledge in the agrology profession.

Applicants are also required to provide a current copy of their CV or resume to accompany their application form.  In addition, official transcripts from post-secondary institutions are required.

Applicants must complete the PEIIA membership application form, available in the fillable PDF linked below. For residents of Canada, the application fee is $65.00 CAD.

New member applications will be assessed four times per year.  Application deadlines each year are February 28, April 30, August 31 and November 30. Applications that are not complete by each deadline will be moved to the next assessment period.
